The choices and what they give

Other written encounters
Before you pick
- The prompt and the outcome are written separately in the game, and only the prompt is shown before you choose. Both are on this page.
- A choice that costs health early is usually cheaper than it looks — health resets between fights, shards do not.
- Where an event offers a relic, take the relic over the item: relics apply to every fight that follows.
- Rank ups gained from events bring a modifier pool with them, which is worth more on floor 3 than on floor 9.
- If an event starts a fight, its board is scaled to the floor you met it on, not to the floor it was designed for.
