Checked on patch 0.5.13
Guildrun shop guide
Shards are the only currency in a run, and the shop is the only place to spend them. These are its prices and rules as the game files hold them on patch 0.5.13, with the relics that change them.
What a shop puts in front of you
Every fight you win pays Shards and opens the shop. A normal shop offers three heroes, two items and one relic. After every boss comes the Auction House, which in the game's own words offers more and higher-rarity choices. In the files that bigger shop has three heroes, four items and three relics, and its first reroll costs 7 Shards.
A hero you already own is not a wasted offer. Buying another copy raises its rank, which is how heroes climb from C toward S.
| Shop | Auction House | |
|---|---|---|
| Heroes | 3 | 3 |
| Items | 2 | 4 |
| Relics | 1 | 3 |
| First reroll | 1 Shard | 7 Shards |
Prices
Two of these numbers can be checked in game. Niklas's Red Hot Deals generates Shards equal to 80% of an item's value, and its tooltip lists 4, 12 and 20 for Common, Rare and Epic items: 80% of 5, 15 and 25.
| Offer | Shards |
|---|---|
| Hero at rank C / B / A / S | 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 |
| Item, Common / Rare / Epic | 5 / 15 / 25 |
| Relic, Common / Rare / Epic / Legendary | 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 |
| Mandate relic (15 of them) | 25 |
| Harmony Crystal | 40 |
Relics that change the shop
Two relics change the shop itself. The cheapest route to a bigger team runs through it as well: the fifteen Mandates cost 25 Shards, less than a Legendary relic, and each one ends with team size up by 1, to a maximum of 5. Harmony Crystal gives the same for 40 Shards and no quest.
Rerolls
A reroll swaps the whole offer for new heroes, items and relics. The first one costs 1 Shard and each one after it costs 1 more; at the Auction House the first already costs 7.
Rerolling is also how you hunt for the copy that ranks a hero up. Two class upgrades pay for the habit, Rolling Speed with 2 Attack Speed per reroll this game for Duelists and Rolling Conduit with 1 Mana Regen per reroll for Mystics, and so do these relics:
Freeze, sales and selling back
Freeze Shop keeps the current offer instead of letting it refresh. Patch 0.5.11 closed a loophole around it: freezing a relic before a Challenge Fight or the Auction House could hand you a second copy.
Some offers carry a Sale tag, worth 25% off in the files.
Selling returns two thirds of the price by default, a multiplier of 0.66 in the files, at the Auction House too. Selling a hero also hands back every item it had equipped. The Rift Seal cannot be sold during the Rift Sealing Protocol.
Saved Shards earn nothing on their own
Interest is not built in. It comes from one relic, Shard Maximizer: at the end of each combat it adds 1 Shard for every 5 in the bank, capped at 20, and that income does not count as generation.
What a full bank does unlock is a set of quests and effects that read it directly, which is the reason to skip a purchase now and then:
