Zuri tier and best specialization

B

B tier on patch 0.5.12

Zuri does better on SSS difficulty than her overall results suggest, and she tanks for Shard Gen Assassins and Debuff Mages. Players rate her a strong tank in regular fights who falls off against bosses, so she lands at B.

Tiers are reviewed by hand after each patch (latest: 0.5.12), weighing the runs players share, most of them in Red Rift, the comps that clear the high difficulties, current player tier lists and recent balance changes. All 25 heroes side by side are on the hero tier list.

Zuri is the one hero who leaves a fight permanently stronger. Each Crit adds Defence and Magic for good, and the number of triggers itself scales on Crit and Defence, so she compounds. She is a Tank and an Assassin at once, which means two primary stats and the slowest attack speed in the roster to pay for it.

Crit or Defense for more triggers

Stone Skin fires 2 times per combat plus once for every 20 Crit and every 60 Defense, so point for point Crit raises the cap three times faster. Each rank adds 15 Crit, three quarters of a trigger, and 30 Defense, half of one, and Polymath's Prism raises both stats by 20% at once.

Poison on whoever hits her

Both tier list builds take The Serpent's Kiss: each enemy that auto attacks Zuri takes 1 Poison plus 1 per 60 Defense and 1 per 50 Magic, and she gains 1 HP/S per rank. At rank S in Shard Gen Assassins, Poisonous Restoration adds 2 HP/S whenever a poisoned enemy strikes her, and Ring of the Leech grants 1 Crit and 1 HP/S whenever an enemy takes Poison damage, so her Poison edges her toward the next trigger.

Debuff Mages keeps her at rank A with Freezing Aura, 1 Frost plus 1 per 100 Defense on each attacker, and one Sentinel's Plate, tripled only while she holds the front row alone. Rowan plays in the same lineup, and when he opens in the back row his Rear Support adds 75% Defense to every hero, lifting her Poison, Frost and trigger cap together.

Mana only matters under The Cruel

Her 100 Max Mana and 75 Starting Mana only count under The Cruel, her one active. Petrification deals 275 plus 250% of Magic to every enemy targeting Zuri, stuns them for 4 seconds and inflicts 2 Poison per Stone Skin trigger this game. Patches 0.5.3 and 0.5.6 took its base damage from 150 to 275, 0.5.3 also doubled the Poison, and 0.5.5 added 10 Starting Mana.

The Bladedancer works on both clocks. For Rush (10) her auto attacks deal and heal 5 plus 100% of Crit plus 50% of Magic, and after Stall (20) the Magic term becomes 50% of Defense.

What Zuri gains per rank

A hero climbs C → B → A → S — 3 upgrades in all. Every stat rises at the same rate on every hero, with one exception: the primary stat of the class rises three to four times faster. For Zuri that stat is Defence / Crit.

Stat gains per rank and total from C to S for Zuri.
StatsPer rankC → S
Health+12.5%+37.5%
Defenceprimary+30+90
Attack+6+18
Magic+6+18
Attack speed+5+15
Critprimary+15+45

Health rises as a percentage of base health; every other stat is a flat addition. The specialization is chosen at rank B, and the class modifier pools open at A and S.
